Videographer

₹5,000 monthly travel allowance. Accommodation provided for shoots outside Mysuru.

Shoot client work for Truffaire Studio — plywood factories, real estate sites, interior projects, jewellery retail, hospitality and hospitals. Eight to ten shoots a month across Mysuru, Bengaluru and Hassan. You shoot; the edit is someone else's job. A part-time engagement, scheduled in advance.

Responsibilities

• Shoot eight to ten client jobs a month — factory floors, project sites, finished interiors, retail, hospitality and hospital environments.
• Frame and light for an edit you will not be doing. Cover the scene properly: wides, cutaways, detail, room tone.
• Record usable location audio where the shoot calls for it, not just the camera mic.
• Travel to shoots in Bengaluru and Hassan. Accommodation is arranged for anything outside Mysuru.
• Fly the drone on larger shoots — Truffaire provides it.
• Hand over organised, labelled footage within the week. The editor should not have to guess what a clip is.
• Work from a shot list, and say so when the location tells you something different.

Requirements

• A reel. What you have shot matters more than where you studied.
• Your own camera — a Sony ZV-E10 or anything in that segment — and your own gimbal.
• Confident shooting manual, on location, with nobody to fix it in post.
• Exposure, white balance and frame rate right on the day.
• Based in or around Mysuru, and able to travel to Bengaluru and Hassan.
• Available across the month rather than on fixed days. Shoots are confirmed two days ahead — a Wednesday shoot is booked by Monday.

Bonus

• Drone experience, and the licence to fly one legally.
• Location sound — lavs, a boom, and knowing why the camera mic is not enough.
• Interview lighting for talking heads.
• Kannada. Most of the people on camera will be speaking it.

• Send a reel with your application. We watch it before anything else.
• A paid half-day test shoot, so both sides see how the other works.
• A conversation about the shoot and how you work.
